Our Wellness Wednesday theme for November is safe skincare. Previous posts this month were Is Your Skincare Safe Enough to Eat? and Top 5 Ingredients to Avoid in Skincare Products.

I have an early Christmas present for you today. There is some assembly required, but not too much(:

Treat yourself to this deliciously luxuriant sugar scrub the next time you take a bath! The ingredients are safe, and it only takes a few minutes to mix up a batch. Baths are a lost art, but adding a bit of [easy] luxury like this will make you want to take them more often.

Want to create a special stocking stuffer for your mother or sister? Make extra batches of this body polish, mound it into jars, and tie a creamy-coloured ribbon around each.

When using, scoop the polish with your fingers and apply to wet or dry skin in gentle, circular motions. This will exfoliate your skin and work in the moisturizing honey and oil. The skin on your face is very delicate, so avoid using this product there, although it’s fine to use it as a lip polish.

Enjoy!

  1. Oooh…. That Body Polish sounds delightful!

As always, thanks for hosting this link-up! This week I’m sharing my husband’s coffee recipe… Mmmm coffee… This recipe, aside from being delicious, is full of things designed to make you *more* healthy… as opposed to the coffee shop kind, which will make you *less* healthy!

  2. Your body polish sounds divine! That goes on my must-make-immediately list 🙂

Thank you so much for hosting. There are always so many great links here!

I brought my Creamy Dreamy Chocolate “Milkshake”. It’s made with pumpkin puree, banana, cucumber , and more….

  3. This will make a fun “spa party” favor for my daughter’s 13th birthday slumber party. thanks for the recipe! ;0

    1. I’m not exactly sure, but it lasted quite a while for me! (A few weeks, I think?) Since it’s summer, though, you might want to store it in the fridge so that ants don’t get it!

  4. I tried a similar recipe, using a fine sugar (caster sugar) since I needed it to be sensitive on the face. Anyway- the product ended up being very clumpy and the oil and honey settled to the bottom of the jar. Does that happen with this recipe?
    Thanks!

    1. No, that hasn’t happened to me. I am not familiar with using caster sugar, though! My only suggestion would be to use more of the caster sugar, or less of the honey/oil, and add it gradually.
