10 Herbs (And 30+ Recipes to Use Them In)
The balcony herb garden we planted earlier this spring has grown into a lush jungle. While we’ve had some issues with the spinach dying and the kale being eaten by green caterpillars, the herbs are doing terrific. In fact, we can’t eat them fast enough before the planters are overflowing again! We add chives to omelettes, brew tea with peppermint, cut basil over pizza, and rub meat with rosemary and sage. Some of the excess herbs are frozen, but we still have more than enough.
I want to make use of this bounty, so I’ve compiled an index of recipes which feature fresh herbs. Some of these recipes are already favourites; others I’ve gleaned from the internet and I’m eager to try them, either now or during their appropriate seasons.
